L'ENFANT BLUE | THE HIDDEN LYRICS
The first step is always the hardest, because facing a problem makes it painfully real. Perhaps this is why 80% of young victims of domestic abuse choose to remain silent. So the most effective way to help young people recognizea problem, and most importantly, show that L'Enfant Blue can help, was to reach them in a moment that is both intimate and safe: when they take refuge in music. With “The Hidden Lyrics”, we identified the three platforms most used by young people to read lyrics and, within the most popular songs addressing domestic abuse, we hid a message inviting readers to get in touch. If there’s one thing young people relate to, feel understood by, and see themselves in, it’s music. And through its lyrics, we want to move quietly to make more and more noise.
